Directions

The restaurant is located at 1001 NW Couch Street on the corner of NW 10th Avenue in Portland's Pearl District, conveniently located along the Portland Streetcar line.

Valet parking is available or if you prefer, find parking in the Brewery Blocks Underground lot. Enter on NW 12th or 13th between Couch and Davis. The lot has over 1,300 spaces on three levels.

The Chef

Chef Michael Hanaghan began cooking professionally at age 16 in his home town of Dayton, Ohio. He first came to Portland nine years ago to attend the Western Culinary Institute, culminating in an externship at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Yountville, California. In Napa valley he accepted a permanent position, cooking under Chefs Jeff Cerciello and Josh Crain. He also spent time in the kitchens of the French Laundry and Bouchon Bakery.

In 2005 he accepted a position at Thomas Keller’s recently opened Per Se Restaurant in New York under Chef Jonathan Benno. During his time there, Per Se was awarded three Michelin Stars. Hanaghan also helped open the New York location of Bouchon Bakery.

In 2006 he returned to Yountville as Sous Chef at Bouchon Bistro, working under Chefs Josh Schwartz and Phil Tessier. He was able to spend time with Gardener Tucker Taylor working at the French Laundry Garden and Jacobsen’s Farm, literally taking produce from earth to table.

After years in other cities, Hanaghan is happy to return: “Portland has such a vibrant food scene. This is where I want to be a chef.”

Ten 01 proudly offers one of the finest wine cellars in Portland.

Guests wishing to enjoy selections from their private cellars are welcome to do so. We kindly ask that the wine is not represented on our list. We have a corkage fee of $25 per 750 ml bottle, and a 2-bottle limit.

A lot is going on behind Ten 01’s bar this fall. First and foremost, Kelley is thrilled to introduce his new menu, which invites guests to explore his collection of over 200 spirits. Kelley has built an impressive selection of gin and whiskey as well as a unique array of European herbals and bitters. 200 tastes may sound daunting, but Kelley has set up a tasting menu that allows guests to feed their curiosity and try any spirit from the menu! He is also very excited about his new beer menu highlighting local and international artisan brewers.

Other exciting spirit news, Van Winkle Kentucky Bourbon is back in Portland and available at Ten 01! Come in and try the Pappy Winkle 15 yr Bourbon, Kelley's favorite, or the ever pleasing Van Winkle 12 yr ‘lot b.’ For Rye Whiskey fans, Ten 01 just acquired a bottle of Rittenhouse 23 yr Rye Whiskey available for $45 a glass or $24 a half glass, or $12 a taste. It’s a full-bodied whiskey with plenty of spice.

Private Dining | Information

Located on the mezzanine our elegantly appointed private dining room is a lovely location for a gathering of business associates or friends. The room is available Monday through Saturday and can comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests.

We'd be delighted to work with you to craft a food and beverage menu that meets all the needs of your special evening.

If yours is a gathering of 50–80 guests, exclusive use of the mezzanine level is also available.
